MADONNA’S GOTHENBURG CONCERT
Since Madge’s MDNA tour debut in Tel Aviv, we’ve heard nothing but complaints; “She’s too old for her costumes! She’s is vacant on stage and her dance routines are too mechanic! She doesn’t play her old hits enough!” Well…do we really want the queen of pop to perform her old songs like they sound on cd? Aren’t there enough (male) artists standing on stage with a guitar? While her male counterparts get hailed for never evolving in their careers, Madonna’s criticized for doing so. Yes, sometimes the shear technical side of her performances takes over and it’s more of a dance routine than a singing experience, but when she strips down Like a Virgin with a solo piano version and a dancer pulls her corset so hard she’s gasping for air, or when the whole audience sing along with their hands raised up in Like a Prayer – there is nothing mechanic or boring about this lady! Still to this day there is no one who gets even close to her on stage!

ABBA TO RELEASE NEW MATERIAL
April 23rd will go down in history as the day the iconic, Swedish disco group ABBA will release The Visitors, a “very special edition” as they call it. (The album will actually be compulsory for all Swedes to buy, to avoid being sent to a fish-gutting camp). The Visitors was initially released in 1981 but this re-release will contain unreleased materials from their huge archive, rare footage and some of their biggest hits such as Head Over Heels, When All Is Said And Done, and One Of Us to name a few, on DVD and CD.
But the highlight for the fans is of course the extra bonus track(!) From A Twinkling Star To A Passing Angel (demos), recorded in 1981 which is the first new song we have heard from them in 18 years.
Now, when we’re all about it, why not put in this unreleased song in the edition as well?
FLASHBACK: BAPTISTE GIABICONI FOR DORIAN
We celebrate supermodel and pop star Baptiste Giabiconi’s first ‘serious’ single One Night In Paradise and upcoming debut album by taking a look at the summer issue, as we had the pleasure of working with him in Paris, where Baptiste showed off his physique and supermodel talents in pop star fashion. If copying is a compliment we should be very proud, as another magazine almost plagiarised(!) the entire job.

STOCKHOLM PRIDEINVIGNING 2011
Stockholm Pride 2011 höll releasefest på Café Opera under onsdagen. På höga klackar höll konferencier Andrés Esteche låda och betade i ett rasande tempo, under en timme, av både årets Pridelåt, Dogtag och invigningstalare.
Årets Pridelåt, den klubbiga Show the World Tonight var en välproducerad glad överraskning.
