WORLD AIDS DAY

Saturday, December 1, 2012 sees the world coming together in the fight against AIDS and HIV on World Aids Day.

In Stockholm, the yearly World Aids Day Gala, organized by drag group Diamond Dogs, has raised a lot of money and spread awareness through entertainment and comedy since 2007. This years gala takes place on Monday, December 3. The star studded evening, for the great cause, features great food and beverage, a number of celebrity- and artist performances aswell as a lavish lottery with prizes including art, travels, dinners and exclusive products.

Each early Stockholm summer, a lavish show and subsequent glamourous party is held at Djurgården for Swedish brand Lexington‘s upcoming collection. Adorable top models Mathias Bergh and Bo Develius added star glamour to the classic/conservative Hamptons esthetique.

BERNS HOTEL COCKTAIL CLUB LAUNCH

A brave crowd of journalists huddled together in the unfriendly weather on the secluded roof top at chic Stockholm boutique hotel Berns, for the opening of the highly anticipated cocktail club – a virtual oasis and one of Stockholms hot tickets this summer. Who doesn’t enjoy sipping Gin- and Pisco(trend alert!) based drinks by bar manager Freddie, looking down on people?

But posers beware – it’s members only, so You need to stay at the hotel to get access – or befriend one of the rare few hipsters who’ve been given the desireable pass.

LAUNCH: LG PRADA 3.0 EDITION

Stockholm’s gorgeous skyline served as backdrop for the exclusive globally synchronized launch of the new LG Prada 3.0 edition, which took place in Stockholms highest restaurant on the 26th floor of one of city’s only skyscrapers. The ‘iPhone-killer’ smartphone was presented inside-out to champagne drinking set of especially invited journalists who ‘ooh’-ed and ‘aah’-ed about the minimalist phone’s monochrome Android operating system – tweaked visually by Prada – Prada’s signature Saffiano leather print on the back, and the huge 4.3″ ultra bright screen, among other things. The phone will be in stores end of January, priced around 600 euro.

Red Model Management

RED MODEL MANAGEMENT COCKTAIL

Red Model Management invited us over for a cocktailparty at their office with a view over Chelsea in New York where some of their hottest and most booked models attended. Christophe Sanchez-Vale, agent for the men’s division, took us around their office to introduce us to their newest male model Kim Kraglund from Denmark, and the sweet model Nykhor Paul. Some photographers behind these model shoots as Joseph Bleu, who said he’s a big fan of Dorian, enjoyed champagne among peers such as Renie Saliba, Gary Lupton and the team behind models.com.

It was a beautiful view to enjoy among the people from the fashion industry and we don’t just talk about the view.

FASHION EVENT SEASON

It truly is the festive season with a virtual explosion of lovely fashion events. A few favourites has been the intimate dinner with Spalt PR and german, urban fashion brand New Yorker at F12 and Thomas Hägg’s Dockers flagship store opening at PK-Huset – making a wonderful addition to the department store’s offer.

RMPR hosted J Lindeberg‘s new coffee table photo book launch aswell as a lavish evening for Swedish suit masters Cavaliere with master chef Gert Klötzke, at Stockholm’s historical Skansen, where we learned about the brand’s advanced skills and the spring collection; slim silouettes in a sea of blue hues, contrasted by crisp white, coloured pinstripes or a lot of checkered fabrics – silk, wool or jersey – all from iconic fabric makers Loro Piana and Cerruti – and always with a coloured pocket square! We were also fortunate enough to create our own suit jacket, before we all helped make dinner. It was hilarous to see ten top fashion individuals trying to execute Gert Klötzke’s instructions. The outcome was a delicious three course triumph with hand made sausage, perfectly cooked duck breast and panna cotta. Klick image for gallery.

Triwa

TRIWA A/W 11: ADDING COLOUR

Swedish watch brand Triwa has spearheaded the return of the colourful, plastic watch trend, allowing everyone to add colour to an outfit and use the watch as an accessory.

For the A/W11 collection, Triwa opted to skip conservative advertising and opted for art instead as focus for the communication. Talanded photoartist Fredrik Öhman was chosen to create campaign/collection images, consisting of artfully surrealistic morphed animal portraits inspired by the colorful watch collection. The portraits were exhibited today at the gorgeous space Jonas Kleerup Gallery.

ORIFLAME EVENT WITH MALIN ÅKERMAN

Last night we attended swedish make up giant Oriflame’s launch of the Studio Artist line developed by make up artist Jonas Wramell, fronted by Hollywood celebrity Malin Åkerman, who was attending. The event featured a fashion show by ex-miss Sweden-now-designer Valerie Aflalo, who’ve also developed a make up line for the brand.

MAKE UP STORE ANNIVERSARY GALA

Swedish beauty brand Make Up Store held a spectacular gala event to celebrate fifteen successful years in the business. The glamorous crowd was entertained by semi nude waitors, Dark Ladies, Kazaky(!) and a big showgirl theme runway show with dancers, flying trapeez artists and hollywood wife Maria Montazami.

DORIAN AND KAZAKY COCKTAIL PARTY

Dorian was proud to host an intimite cocktail party in honour of the new Three Years in Style issue featuring global phenomenon Kazaky. Two of the amazing group members celebrated their birthday and were given a cake with their portraits on it. Guests enjoyed delicious Hpnotic drinks and champagne served by restaurant Torget’s lovely staff.
